Welsh Cup 1998-99
Inter Cable-Tel won the Welsh cup in dramatic fashion, beating
Carmarthen Town 4-2 on penalties after the final had ended 1-1 after
extra time. The West Wales club must have though their name was on the
Cup when Sion Meredith scored six minutes before the end of extra
time, but Inter were level through Darren Porretta two minutes later,
and took the trophy 4-2 on kicks from the penalty mark.
